A Park Safety Reminder

Dear Dog Park Friends,

We’re reaching out with a few critical reminders to help protect the space we all love.

Suspicious Activity Alert
Recently, our cleaner encountered a man going through one of our storage boxes. When asked what he was doing, he falsely claimed to be a volunteer. He is not affiliated with our park. We’ve included his photo—if you spot him or have any information, please reach out to contact@rinconhilldogpark.org

Reminder: Lock the Gates
Please, always lock the gate behind you—when entering and exiting. We’ve had ongoing issues with people damaging and tossing the green locks which compromises the safety of everyone. Let’s work together to protect the park and the people who care for it.

Foxtail Season is Here
Foxtails have started to pop up and they pose a serious risk to dogs. These barbed seed heads can become lodged in paws, ears, noses, and fur—sometimes requiring surgical removal. Please be vigilant when walking your dogs in and around the park. Inspect their paws and coat when you get home, and if you notice any irritation or sneezing, contact your vet immediately. Check out this foxtail video.

We’re thrilled to announce that a team from DocuSign will be volunteering in May to help with a major foxtail and weed cleanup—thank you in advance to them!

Gratitude to Our Donors
A heartfelt thank you to all of our monthly donors. Your contributions help fund essential maintenance, supplies, and ongoing safety improvements. We can’t do this without you. If you enjoy using the park and would like to support it, please consider making a donation here!

Let’s keep our park safe, clean, and joyful—for pups and people alike.
And remember: lock the gate!

Woofs ‘n wags,
The Rincon Hill Dog Park Volunteers
