Gratitude, Community, and Caring: A Thanksgiving Message from Rincon Hill Dog Park

Dear Neighbors and Dog Lovers,

As Thanksgiving rolls in, we just wanted to say how grateful we are for this community and for everything you all do to keep our dog park thriving. Your donations — and the neighborhood vote to collectively support maintenance instead of relying on just a few volunteers — have truly made a difference.

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve been able to maintain consistent help with park cleaning, and our most recent cleaner through the GEO Reentry program has been absolutely incredible. It’s a reminder that our contributions go far beyond the park—they support people and dogs in our broader community.

On that note, many of you know Cara-Melly, one of our beloved dog-park regulars. She recently suffered a serious injury, and the medical estimate came back far higher than expected — around $8,000. Her dad, Mark, is doing everything he can, but it’s a heavy lift. If you feel moved to help support her care, the link is here. Even a few dollars can lighten the load for a neighbor and a very special pup.

As we head into the end of the year, if you’re feeling grateful for this place, the friendships we’ve made here, or the joy our dogs get from this space, please consider supporting the park or Cara-Melly’s care. Every bit helps and is deeply appreciated.

Wishing you and your pups a warm, happy, treat-filled Thanksgiving. 🐾🧡

Woofs ‘n wags,
