Our San Francisco dog park is something special—and keeping it clean takes a village (and a lot of poop bags 😅). At Rincon Hill Dog Park, we rely on neighbors, volunteers, and donations—not a full-time city crew—so every small effort helps keep this space safe, welcoming, and open for everyone.
Quick favor: If you see poop—even if it’s not your dog’s—please help by picking it up. It makes a bigger difference than you might think—and helps keep this park clean, safe, and open for everyone. (And yes… you absolutely earn bonus brownie points. Interpret that however you’d like 😏)
Keeping the park clean also helps support the funding and donations that keep this space running.
🛠️ Gate Update + City Coordination
We hear you—the gate needs attention.
We’re actively working with the San Francisco Department of Public Works (DPW) to address it. At the moment, city funding is limited, and we expect more clarity in July on timing and next steps.
In the meantime, we truly appreciate your patience while we navigate repairs and funding.
💬 Want to Weigh In?
We have a meeting this Friday to discuss future funding needs and park improvements. Community input truly helps guide these decisions.
If you have thoughts, ideas, or feedback, we’d love to hear from you.

💛 A Community Effort
This park works because you show up—whether that’s picking up after your pup, helping a neighbor out, or supporting us through donations.
We’re grateful to be part of such a thoughtful (and occasionally hilarious) dog-loving community.
Woofs ‘n wags,
The Volunteer Team
