Hello, Dog Lovers!
Join neighbors across San Francisco’s District 6 for National Night Out on August 4 and Neighborhood Beautification Day on August 8.
August brings two great opportunities to connect with neighbors, meet local public-safety teams, and help make District 6 a cleaner and more welcoming place.
National Night Out
Tuesday, August 4 | 5:00–7:00 PM
National Night Out is a free community event designed to bring neighbors and local police officers together in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.
Enjoy games, pizza, prizes, a photo booth, and more while getting to know the people who serve our neighborhoods.
Two locations will be participating:
Mission Bay Kids Park
690 Long Bridge Street, San Francisco
Cityside Park
387 Avenue of the Palms, Treasure Island
The event is free and open to the community.
District 6 Neighborhood Beautification Day
Saturday, August 8
San Francisco Public Works is bringing Neighborhood Beautification Day to District 6!
Volunteers will work together on cleanup and beautification projects throughout District 6 neighborhoods, including SoMa and Rincon Hill. Activities may include litter removal, greening, graffiti abatement, and tree planting.
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow neighbors, spend time outdoors, and help care for the shared spaces we all enjoy—including the streets and sidewalks surrounding our neighborhood parks.
Whether you have a couple of hours to socialize or want to roll up your sleeves and volunteer, we hope you’ll join one—or both—of these community events.
Together, we can help make District 6 safer, cleaner, friendlier, and more connected.
Woofs ‘n wags,
The Volunteer Team
